Game Preview: Knicks at Jazz, March 11, 2026

The Knicks (41*-25) visit the Utah Jazz (20-45) tonight at Delta Center in Salt Lake City tonight. New York aims to maintain their position near the top of the East while the Jazz continue to fight for the worst record in the West. Over their last ten games, the Knicks have gone 6-4while the Jazz have struggled to a 2-8 mark.
These teams last met on December 5, 2025, at Madison Square Garden, where the Knicks dominated with a 146-112 victory. Jalen Brunson led New York with 33 points (including six three-pointers), while Miles McBride (‘memba him?) added 22 points off the bench. Lauri Markkanen paced the Jazz with 18 points and nine rebounds.
Utah’s season has featured a lower-mid-tier offense undermined by the league’s worst defense, injuries, and a shallow roster. Their defensive rating sits dead last, allowing 124.9 points per game and struggling in opponent efficiency, rebounding, and foul discipline.
Young Keyonte George has averaged 23.8 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game as the primary offensive engine. He’ll be a cornerstone going forward in Utah, but on a team this bad it must feel like a tombstone. Lauri Markkanen has averaged 26.7 PPG, 6.9 RPG, and 2.1 APG in an injury-shortened season. Other contributors include players like Brice Sensabaugh (12.9 PPG) and Kyle Filipowski (10.5 PPG, 7 RPG). You’re forgiven for not quaking in your boots.
Utah’s projected starting lineup will likely feature Cody Williams, John Konchar, Sensabaugh, Filipowski, and George. On their injury report, Markkanen (ankle/hip), Ace Bailey (illness), Isaiah Collier (illness), Walker Kessler (shoulder), Jusuf Nurkic (nose), and Jaren Jackson Jr. (knee) are all OUT, and George (illness) is a game-time decision. Yikes. For the Knicks, Josh Hart is OUT with a knee issue.
ESPN gives the Knicks an 87% chance. Right. Trap game or not, they simply cannot lose this or brains will explode throughout the tri-state area. Knicks by 18.
