High Wind Watch and accumulating snow to end the work week
New this morning, a High Wind Watch was issued for all of Southeast Michigan beginning at 5AM Friday through 8PM. Southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph will be possible.

Today
Back to reality… Turning sunny today, but brisk and cooler (closer to March averages). Highs will be in the low 40s with gusts close to 25 mph, meaning wind chills will be about ten degrees cooler in the 30s.
Tomorrow
We will be back in the 40s on Friday, but we aren’t done with winter yet. Accumulating snow will be possible Friday morning, with minor accumulations as far south as I-94, but better chances for accumulations of 1-3″ mainly north of M-59. We could see flakes as early as midnight, but a more widespread wintry mix (rain/snow) will arrive before daybreak. Most will push out by 9AM with isolated flurries through the afternoon.
Weekend and Beyond
Another round of accumulating snow is likely Saturday night into the first part of Sunday. Thunderstorms are then possible late day Sunday with strong winds late Sunday into Monday as colder air arrives. We fall below average Monday and Tuesday with highs near or below freezing and lows in the teens to potentially single digits.
