Free agent Jaquan Brisker reaches deal with Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a one-year, $5.5 million deal with safety Jaquan Brisker, his agents told NFL Network.
Brisker was the second player drafted by Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles in 2022 with the No. 48 pick, nine selections after nickel cornerback Kyler Gordon.

The former Penn State standout won a starting job as a rookie and started 15 games in each of his first two seasons. A concussion — his third in three seasons — in 2024 limited Brisker to five games.
Brisker, 26, played his first fully healthy season in 2025, when he started all 17 games at strong safety and played 100% of defensive snaps. He finished tied for second on the Bears with 93 tackles, had eight passes defended, three quarterback hits, one sack and one interception.
Arguably the best game of his career took place during his final moments in a Bears uniform when he totaled 14 tackles and two pass deflections in Chicago’s NFC divisional round loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
He has played 52 games in four seasons and has four interceptions, 21 passes defended, four forced fumbles and 342 tackles.
