Lorraine Kelly won’t be appearing on screens for almost two months. The popular TV presenter, who fronts her self-titled ITV show during the week, has been battling an illness.
Last week, Lorraine, 66, was missing from both the Thursday and Friday instalments of her show, which airs between 9:30am and 10am. Instead, Christine Lampard and Ben Shephard were drafted in as last-minute replacements following concerns from viewers at home over Lorraine’s croaky voice.
In the days prior, Lorraine appeared under the weather, and those who tuned in begged her to go home and rest. Now, the broadcaster has confirmed she will take a break from screens for seven weeks.
