It was a scary scene in Montreal on Saturday night.
The 20-year-old was hit high by Canadiens defenceman Mike Matheson and appeared to lose consciousness. He was able to leave the ice with assistance.
There was no penalty assessed to Matheson on the play.
Chernyshov was recalled from the AHL on Thursday. In 15 NHL games this season, the Russian has three goals and 11 points.
Chernyshov was selected 33rd overall by the Sharks at the 2024 NHL Draft.
