Northbound I-5 near Woodland partially reopened after debris slide
WOODLAND, Wash. (KATU) — Northbound Interstate 5 has been partially reponed after being closed in Cowlitz County after a debris slide near Woodland, which left travelers with no timeline for when the highway will reopen.
Now, the two left lanes of northbound I-5 are now open at Dike Access Road near milepost 22 according to a WSDOT travel alert, after all lanes were closed earlier this morning.
Geotechnical crews were en route to assess the area and ensure it is safe for travel.
Traffic remains backed up about five miles. Drivers should expect delays as cars start moving through the area.
There is no estimated time for reopening.
