The 2026 World Baseball Classic has reached its final four teams, with the United States and Dominican Republic facing off on Sunday before Venezuela and Italy play Monday for a spot in the tournament’s championship gane.
On Saturday, surprise semifinalist Italy beat Puerto Rico in Houston improve to 6-0 in the 2026 WBC. In the night game, defending champion Japan lost to Venezuela in a slugfest that featured home runs from MVPs Shohei Ohtani and Ronald Acuña Jr.
On Sunday, Team USA takes on the Dominicans and their star-studded lineup featuring Juan Soto, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Fernando Tatis Jr. The Dominican Republic has won two of three meetings between the two countries in WBC history.
