DARBY, Pa. (WPVI) — Police in Darby Borough are investigating what they describe as a “deeply concerning” assault on a crossing guard.
The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. Monday at the intersection of South 6th and Walnut streets. Police confirmed the crossing guard was assaulted but have not released details about the guard’s condition or the circumstances surrounding the attack.
“We are exhausting all available resources to identify the individual responsible, but we need your help to get this person identified,” the department said in a statement.

“We are very troubled by this heinous act, and we will put every investigative measure to use to try and find the person responsible,” police added.
