People Will Not Be Disappointed

Zendaya stars in The Drama, but this summer she will co-star alongside Tom Holland in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

After Sony Pictures teased fans with teaser clips of the superhero movie trailer ahead of its official release, Zendaya has nothing but praise for Holland.

On the red carpet for the premiere of The Drama, Zendaya told Deadline she was “so excited about it” for the new movie, adding, “It’s really wonderful.”

Zendaya noted that she was “biased” about Holland and said, “Tom is so talented, and he’s so great. And he cares so much. I think people will not be disappointed.”

Zendaya will reprise her role of MJ in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is set to release on July 31, 2026. The film, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, stars Holland, who reprises his role as Peter Parker. Also confirmed to star in the movie are Jon Bernthal, Sadie Sink, and Liza Colón-Zayas.

Currently, Zendaya stars in The Drama, scheduled to premiere on April 3, 2026. In the film, Zendaya plays Emma Harwood, a bookstore clerk engaged to Robert Pattinson’s Charlie Thompson, a British museum director from London. Days before the couple is set to tie the knot, their relationship is shaken when one of them discovers unsettling truths about the other.

The A24 film also stars Mamoudou Athie, Alana Haim, Hailey Gates, Zoë Winters, and Anna Baryshnikov.

Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen produce the film through their Square Peg banner, with Borgli and Tyler Campellone producing under Dilemma Films, in collaboration with A24.
