FIRST ALERT: Warmth builds into the weekend

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – We’re giving you the FIRST ALERT to warmer weather building as we head into the upcoming weekend. Start making plans now!
TODAY
Clouds overnight have kept temperatures mild, with most of the area in the mid-upper 30s. Any clouds this morning should give way to plenty of sunshine and a mild Thursday afternoon.
All things considered, this isn’t a bad forecast for Thursday.(WMBF)
Temperatures will warm up into the lower 60s today with a mix of sun and fair weather clouds. It will be about 8-10° warmer today than it was on Wednesday afternoon.
Highs will climb into the upper 50s to lower 60s today. We’re about 8-10° warmer this afternoon.(WMBF)
INTO THE WEEKEND
We’ll keep the temperatures climbing for the end of the work week and into the week. An area of high pressure will develop in the Gulf and push east. This will allow for westerly and southwesterly winds to increase our temperatures each day.

Sunshine and highs in the mid-60s near the beach on Friday will turn to the mid-70s by Sunday afternoon.
Meanwhile, temperatures near 70 inland on Friday will turn into the mid-80s for Sunday afternoon plans. What a beautiful forecast!
