Jamia Millia Islamia launches 30 new courses, March 25 deadline for admissions

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has announced that the deadline for submitting online applications for the 2026-27 academic session is March 25, urging prospective students to complete the process well in advance.
The university is offering admissions across undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and certificate programmes. The document outlines eligibility criteria, entrance test details, fee structures and timelines, and is accessible through the official admission portal.
A major highlight this year is the introduction of 30 new programmes spanning diverse disciplines such as Japanese and German studies, human resource management, biotechnology, renewable energy, robotics & artificial intelligence, and multiple law specialisations.
The university has not increased fees for any course for the upcoming academic session. In line with NEP 2020, JMI will also implement the Multiple Entry Mode under the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUP), allowing students greater academic flexibility. JMI has also added three new centres, Jaipur, Dehradun and Kishanganj.
