Watch Lauren Boebert Give Intense Response To Trump And Hegseth’s War Fund Ask

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) on Thursday firmly said she will not back supplemental funding for the war against Iran. (Watch the video below.)
Approached in a Capitol Hill parking area, Boebert blasted the Defense Department’s $200 billion ask to boost the military operation.
“I will not vote for a war supplemental,” she told CNN. “No. I am a no. I’ve already told leadership. I am a no on any war supplementals. I am so tired of spending money elsewhere. I am tired of the industrial-war complex getting all of our hard-earned tax dollars. I have folks in Colorado who can’t afford to live. We need America First policies right now, and that, I’m not doing that.”
Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth flippantly defended the proposal earlier Thursday for what now sounds like an open-ended war that officials estimate to be costing as much as $2 billion a day.
“As far as $200 billion, I think that number could move. Obviously, it takes money to kill bad guys,” he said. “So we’re going back to Congress and folks there to ― to ensure that we’re properly funded for what’s been done, for what we may have to do in the future, ensure that our ammunition is ― everything’s refilled and not just refilled, but above and beyond.”
It appears Boebert, whose loyalty to Trump seemed to erode somewhat over his pushback to releasing the Jeffry Epstein files, will not be one of those “folks.”
