Match Information | Barrow AFC (H)

Back at Blundell Park for a 3pm kick-off, the Mariners return to Sky Bet League Two action this afternoon as we host Barrow AFC in what promises to be another important home fixture.
Town head into the game buoyed by Tuesday’s late victory at Fleetwood Town, looking to carry that momentum into the weekend and continue their push in the race for the play-off places. With consistency key at this stage of the season, David Artell’s side will be focused on a strong performance and securing all three points in front of the home crowd.
With plenty on the line and the Mariners unbeaten in nine at Blundell Park, supporters can once again play a crucial role in driving the team forward.
Ahead of kick-off, Head Coach David Artell shared his thoughts in the pre-match press conference:
Opening Times
10am: Ticket Office & Club Shop opens

Odd Socks For World Down Syndrome Day
Tomorrow, we are proud to mark World Down Syndrome Day, an important global event celebrated on 21st March in recognition of the third copy of the 21st chromosome that causes Down syndrome.
As part of the celebrations, members of the North East Lincolnshire Down Syndrome Support Group will take to the pitch for a fun penalty shootout, giving them a chance to shine in front of the Mariners faithful and be part of the matchday excitement.
Supporters are encouraged to join in by wearing odd socks on the day, representing the “extra chromosome” and sparking conversations to raise awareness and support for those with Down syndrome. Fans can also get involved through our “Show Us Your Socks” campaign, sharing photos of their odd socks on social media and tagging Grimsby Town, with images featured on the club’s channels.
The club shop will also be supporting the North East Lincolnshire Down Syndrome Association on Odd Sock Day, selling socks for £2 per pair, with half of all proceeds donated to the charity.
Icelandic Walking Football Team Visit
Grimsby Town Corinthians Walking Football Club are set to welcome a special visiting squad from Knattspyrnufélagið Þróttur (Throttur FC), Iceland, for an action-packed weekend of walking football and fundraising.
The visit highlights the growing popularity of walking football and the community spirit at the heart of the sport.
The Icelandic team will arrive at Blundell Park tomorrow, giving players and staff a chance to experience the Mariners’ home ground. For many of the visitors, attending a Grimsby Town match has been a lifelong dream. In a gesture of friendship, Þróttur Old Boys will present a signed jersey to Grimsby Town, marking a special shirt exchange between the two clubs.
Big Red Rising Stars Programme
Along with Big Red, we are proud to support the Rising Stars Programme for 2026 – a special community initiative celebrating children across our local schools who demonstrate excellent attendance, positive behaviour and make a meaningful contribution to their school or community.
These young people are true role models, and this programme is all about recognising and rewarding their efforts.
Building on the success of previous years, which saw more than 70 children celebrated at Blundell Park, the 2026 programme is bigger than ever. We are delighted to have already collaborated with 14 local schools, who have carefully selected the pupils receiving this reward in recognition of their fantastic achievements.
This year, we have shared 140 pairs of tickets, giving 140 children the opportunity to be recognised and celebrated at Grimsby Town. These children will be in attendance in the Osmond Stand for tomorrow’s game.

Mighty Mariner will be around the ground with his selfie frame from 2pm onward and will be available for photos with supporters.
