It’s the end of the campaign in Division 2 of National League Football as Tyrone take on Cork today. And it’s a long trip north for the Rebels, as they travel to O’Neills Healy Park in Omagh for Round 7 of the Allianz Football League.
For the home side, a mid-table finish is all that they can hope for at this point. Tyrone have flattered to deceive at times this season, but they do find themselves on five points and are almost certain of their status in Division Two for another season. There is an unlikely scenario where defeat today coupled with a Kildare win.
However, it will take a massive points difference swing, with Tyrone having a +8 score difference to Kildare’s -20.
At the other end of the spectrum you find a Cork side who are just a draw away from securing Division One football for 2027. Should they slip up, Louth and Derry are waiting in the wings, ready to pounce on any mistakes.
