Masters Week 2026. What long-range forecasts say for Augusta National

Here’s the plan: Changes made for Augusta traffic during 2026 Masters

It’s less than two weeks until Augusta starts filling up with guests for Masters Week. They will be spending several hours outside, but will the weather cooperate with those plans? Storms and other harsh conditions can cause delays or even force the Augusta National to close for guests.
Below is a look at what we learned from long-range forecasts provided by The Weather Channel and AccuWeather.
What will the weather be like for the Augusta National Women’s Amateur?
The Augusta National Women’s Amateur is Wednesday, April 1 through Saturday, April 4. The course will be closed on Friday, April 53 for practice. Here’s the forecast:
- April 1: 76 degrees in the morning with mostly cloudy skies, 82 by the afternoon with half cloud coverage, and 59 by night. Humidity will be largely average. There’s almost no chance of precipitation. Winds will be about 5-10 mph with 13 mph gusts.
- April 2: Mostly sunny all day and 75 degrees in the morning, 79 by the afternoon, and 58 by night with mostly cloudy skies. Humidity will be largely average. There’s a 30% chance of a few showers later in the evening. Winds will be about 5-10 mph.
- April 3: Partly cloudy skies all day and 72 degrees in the morning, 75 by the afternoon, 58 by night. There’s a 30-40% chance of showers during the day and night, which could lead to higher humidity. Winds will be about 5-10 mph.
- April 4: Partly cloud skies all day and 69 degrees in the morning, 73 by the afternoon, and 61 by night. There’s a 30% chance of showers in the morning and at night, which could lead to higher humidity. Winds will be about 5-10 mph with 13 mph gusts.
What will the weather be like for the Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals?
The Drive, Chip, and Putt National Finals are on Sunday, April 5. Temperatures are forecasted to be about 71 degrees in the morning, 77 by the afternoon but potentially reaching 81. Nighttime should cool down to 64. Humidity will be in the 60’s. Skies will be cloudy with a 30% chance of showers in the morning, rising to a 50% chance by nightfall. Winds will be 5-10 mph.
What will the weather be like for the Masters practice rounds?
Practice rounds for the Masters are Monday, April 6 and Tuesday, April 7. Here’s the forecast:
- April 6: Very cloudy skies all day and 70 degrees in the morning, 77 in the afternoon, and 60 by night. High humidity in the morning. There’s a 30% chance of rain, potentially some thunderstorms in the later part of the day, rising to a 50% chance at night. Winds will be about 5-10 mph.
- April 7: Mostly cloudy with a little rain in the morning for less than 2 hours. Temperatures will be 69 in the morning, 74 in the afternoon, and 59 by night. There will be high humidity for much of the day. Winds will be about 5-10 mph.
What will the weather be like for the Par 3 Contest?
The Masters Tournament Par 3 Contest is Wednesday, April 8. If you haven’t bought an umbrella by now, you probably should because there’s a strong chance of rain during the day and a 31% chance of thunderstorms. However, it’s only expected to last an hour and skies should be much clearer later in the evening.
Temperatures will be 78 degrees during the day, 52 at night, with 8-13 mph winds and 18-21 mph gusts.
What will the weather be like for the Masters Tournament?
The Masters Tournament is Thursday, April 9 through Sunday, April 12, and it’s looking like a pretty one up until the final day of play. Here’s the forecast:
- April 9: Very sunny skies, 71 degrees during the day and 50 at night. There’s very little chance of rain and winds will be 8-9 mph with 17 mph gusts.
- April 10: Sunny with some clouds, 70 degrees during the day and 50 at night. Little chance of rain or even much wind.
- April 11: Mostly sunny with much more clouds later in the evening, 71 degrees during the day and 52 at night. There’s a small chance of rain, about 20%, and winds of 8-10 mph with 14-15 mph gusts.
- April 12: Cloudy with a high chance of rain (70%) for over two hours during the day with a 32% chance of it turning into thunderstorms. The nighttime is also looking at 55% chance of rain for an hour with 22% chance of thunderstorms. Temperatures are looking like 71 during the day and 61 at night. Winds will be 13 mph with 25 mph during the day, slowing to 5 mph winds with 10 mph gusts at night.
