A popular salad restaurant sets an opening in Forest Acres. Here’s where & when

Chopt Creative Salad Co. will have a grand opening on March 25, 2026 at Trenholm Plaza in Forest Acres.
A popular shopping center near Columbia has an opening date for a new restaurant.
Chopt Creative Salad Co., which has locations in a number of states, will have the grand opening of a new location at Trenholm Plaza at 4840 Forest Drive in Forest Acres on March 25, according to social media posts from the restaurant. The grand opening celebration will be from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. that day.
The salad restaurant will be on the north side of Trenholm Plaza, not far from Tazza Kitchen and the 16 Handles frozen yogurt shop.
Chopt was founded in New York City in 2001, and now has dozens of locations across numerous states.
“From classic cravings to seasonal collaborations, we challenge ourselves to create a menu that celebrates flavors from around the world and opens up a seat at the table for anyone who wants to join,” the company says on its website.
The menu at Chopt includes, as you would guess, a variety of salad options, including a Southwestern steak salad that comes with seared steak, tortilla chips, corn, black beans, pickled red onions, jalapeno peppers, romaine lettuce, and a cabbage and cilantro blend. The restaurant also has a wide selection of wraps.
Trenholm Plaza has remained a reliably popular shopping center in Forest Acres, featuring a Publix, a Fresh Market, a Chicken Salad Chick location, a Granger Owings men’s shop, a J. Crew Factory store and much more. About 28,000 cars per day travel down nearby Forest Drive, per state Department of Transportation statistics.
