Millennials, this is not a drill—Miley Cyrus just confirmed that, yes, she and Dylan Sprouse were an item back in the day. And somehow, they managed to keep it a secret, even in the heyday of their Disney fame. This is some major Disney Channel lore, people!
Cyrus spilled the beans that she was “secretly” dating Dylan during her Hannah Montana days during the new Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special. “Dylan Sprouse was my boyfriend,” she said to host Alex Cooper. “I think he was the cutest.”

“It’s true, confirmed,” Cyrus went on. At first, he was her “crush”—and it was all very innocent. “Their dad would take us to sushi,” she recalled. “I was into the whole culture, and it was a two-for-one. Like, bring the brother. Hello!”

Dylan and his twin brother, Cole Sprouse, starred in Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody from 2005 until 2008, while Cyrus starred in Hannah Montana from 2006 until 2011.
There have been rumors about the two Disney stars in the past. In fact, back in 2008, Dylan even alluded to the brief relationship.
“We met at her set, I believe, and we dated,” he said on Jimmy Kimmel Live!. “And then Nick Jonas walked by and it was over.”
Cyrus and Jonas dated from 2006 until 2008—and their relationship is a big part of the whole Disney kid lore. In fact, Cyrus even went on tour with the Jonas Brothers.

“The reason that the Jonas Brothers were on tour with me was because Nick was my boyfriend,” Cyrus said in the new special, “and I wanted to not leave my boyfriend.”
“I’d be like, ‘OK, well I’ll go on tour if my boyfriend can come,’” she said. “And they’re like, ‘Cute, have your boyfriend open for the show.’ Boom.”
Dylan went on to marry model Barbara Palvin, while Cyrus is now engaged to singer Maxx Morando. Meanwhile, Nick Jonas is married to actress Priyanka Chopra.
