Woman accused of fatally shooting on-and-off again boyfriend, his parents

WILL COUNTY, Ill. (WBBM) – Authorities say a 30-year-old woman is facing charges after she allegedly fatally shot her boyfriend, with whom she had an on-and-off again relationship, and his parents at their Illinois home.

The Will County Sheriff’s Office says 30-year-old Jenna Strouble is charged with nine counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of 32-year-old Jacob Lambert and his parents, 54-year-old Stacy Forde and 55-year-old Patrick Forde.

Strouble and Lambert had an on-and-off again romantic relationship and had children together, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies were called to the family’s home in unincorporated Crete Township, Illinois, for a welfare check around 2 a.m. Monday. When they arrived, they found Lambert’s body in a car in the driveway. His parents were found dead inside the home, near the front door.

Deputies say Strouble fled from the family’s home after the shootings back to her home in St. John, Indiana, where local police took her into custody later Monday. Authorities also recovered a firearm they say matches the weapon used to kill the victims.

Strouble was being held at an Indiana jail until she’s extradited to Illinois to face charges.

Stacy Forde worked as the director of finance for Roeda, a company based in Lynwood, Illinois, that prints business signs. The company shared a tribute to her and her family members Tuesday on Facebook.

“It is with heavy hearts that we grieve the loss of our own Stacy Forde, her loving husband Patrick Forde, and eldest son Jake Lambert,” the post read. “As the Director of Finance, Stacy took her role here seriously and was the backbone of Roeda for 21.5 years.”

The post went on to describe Stacy Forde as a “wonderful woman who deeply valued her marriage, her children, her grandchildren, and her relationship with Christ.”
