ERDA, Tooele County — Two people were killed in a crash on Wednesday in Erda, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
Lt. Cameron Roden with UHP said the two people were in a Chevy Corvette that was hit by an oncoming semitruck while turning left from Parachute Park Lane to state Route 179.
Roden said the two occupants died at the scene of the crash.
Northbound state Route 179 was closed at the crash scene, causing delays. There were also lane restrictions on Parachute Park Lane.
