Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic is fielding questions about his kissing following the team’s advancement in the NBA playoffs.

A high-scoring game between the Denver Nuggets and the Dallas Mavericks gave Nikola Jokic plenty to work with.

The veteran center put together a signature performance, posting a triple-double in 38 minutes of action against the rookie phenom Cooper Flagg and the struggling Mavericks.

As Jokic collected his 30th triple-double of the season, he matched his former teammate, Russell Westbrook, in becoming one of the only players in NBA history with multiple seasons of triple-doubles.

When it comes to 30-plus triple-doubles in a single season, Westbrook has three under his belt. He first achieved it in 2016-2017, breaking an NBA record with 42 triple-doubles in one year.

As for Jokic, he had 34 triple-doubles during the 2024-2025 NBA season. He’s got a handful of games left to beat his own record this year.

Heading into Wednesday night’s game, Jokic had appeared in 57 matchups for the Nuggets. He is producing an average of 27.9 points per game, while shooting 57.3% from the field, and knocking down 38.3% of his threes.

Jokic is leading the NBA in rebounds (12.7) and assists (10.7) per game.

With Wednesday’s win over the Mavericks, the Nuggets improved to 46-28. They are the fourth seed in the Western Conference. The Los Angeles Lakers have a 1.5-game lead over the Nuggets.

The next time Jokic and the Nuggets are set to return to the court is on Friday, March 27. They will take on the Utah Jazz at home. The Nuggets will close out the week with another home game against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.
