Rockstar to Hire Testers for GTA 6 on April 18, as Delay Looks Less Likely to Happen

At one point, there were concerns that GTA 6 could be delayed again, possibly into 2027. However, the CEO of Take-Two has confirmed several times that this will not happen.

GTA 6 has already faced two delays, with the second being so significant that it even reached the Polish parliament. Despite this, there is now evidence that the game will not be delayed again and is set to release on November 19, 2026.

Rockstar Starts Hiring GTA 6 Testers

A key detail comes from LinkedIn, where Priyanka Mourya, Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist at Rockstar, announced a recruitment event that will take place on April 18 in Bangalore, India. The company is actively looking for testers to join the team and work on upcoming projects.

“We are actively searching for talented GAME TESTERS to join our studio in Bangalore. If you have a passion for gaming, this may be the ideal position for you,” she added. “We invite individuals who are enthusiastic about joining our team at the Bangalore office on April 18, 2026. This is a chance to work on exciting game projects alongside a dynamic team.”

This hiring event shows that Rockstar is entering the final testing phase for GTA 6. Testers will help find bugs and fix issues, which usually happens when the main development work is already finished.

Rockstar is offering positions in its QA (quality assurance) department to make sure the game runs well and launches without problems.

Even though GTA 6 is not mentioned directly in the job post, it is very likely that this hiring push is related to the upcoming release. Some people still have doubts, since the positions are based in Rockstar’s India studio, and they think it could be for another project.

More details should become clear after April, when Rockstar brings in new testers to prepare for one of its biggest game launches. If everything goes as planned, players will be able to play GTA 6 on November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.

It’s also worth noting that Take-Two has dismissed rumors that the game would not receive a physical release, confirming that such claims are not true. The company also stated that the official marketing campaign will begin in Summer 2026, which further supports that the game is on track for its planned launch window.
