The Trafford Centre has been welcoming a raft of big names already this year – with the likes of The White Company, Shake Shack and a big new Stradivarius all opening in the past month alone.
But shoppers are starting to get VERY excited after hoardings have appeared in the giant shopping mall for the latest big name signing on its way.
One shopper shared images with the M.E.N. of the new store, on Upper Regent Crescent at the Trafford Centre, adding: “I literally gasped when I saw it.”

Because yes, chocolate fans, be still your beating hearts as a new LINDT store is heading to the Trafford Centre. And it will feature a “large pick n mix store” inside to add your favourite Lindor flavoured truffles and more sweet treats to personalised weigh-as-you-go bags.

It will become the 30th UK store for the Swiss chocolate giant, and the hoardings state it is set to open at the Trafford Centre in May. Works are already well underway at the location, and recruitment is ongoing for a new store manager and staff.
The chocolatier already has a strong foothold and fanbase in Manchester with a popular store in the Manchester Arndale.
Earlier this month, Lindt bosses celebrated their ten year anniversary at the Arndale, thanking shoppers for all their support. Now they’ve confirmed the news fans will have been hoping for, that a new boutique is soon to open at the Trafford Centre.
A spokesperson for the mall said: “Trafford Centre is pleased to announce that globally renowned Swiss chocolate manufacturer, Lindt & Sprüngli, will open a new boutique store at the end of May on Upper Regent Crescent.

“Spanning approximately 1,200sq ft, the store will offer visitors an immersive chocolate experience, featuring Lindt’s enchanting range of indulgent offerings and exclusive features.
“Further details, including the official opening date, will be announced in due course. “
Confirming the news on Linkedin, Lindt & Spungli UK bosses said: “We are thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of our 30th Lindt Retail Store in the UK located at the Trafford Centre, Manchester!
“The doors will be opening soon and our new store will feature a large Pick & Mix island for personalised gifting and flavour exploration, all your favourite iconic Lindt chocolates and a team passionate about Enchanting the World with Chocolate.”

The hoardings show one of Lindt’s chocolatiers with one of the brand’s famous Lindor truffles, known for their soft chocolately centres.
The opening of Lindt will join other confirmed new store launches this spring, including an expanded new FootAsylum store on Peel Avenue, and a new Clarks shoe shop too.
