Canadian National Railway staff are investigating after more than a dozen train cars derailed in northern Minnesota early Saturday morning.
About 18 rail cars were detailed in various positions near Warroad, Minn., just south of the Manitoba-Minnesota border, around 4:50 a.m. on Saturday, CN spokesperson Ashley Michnowski said in a statement sent to CBC News.
Warroad is about 170 kilometres southeast of Winnipeg, located along Lake of the Woods.
Michnowski said there are no reported injuries, fires and leaks. No crossings have been impacted, she said.
CN crews and local first responders are at the scene, Michnowski said Saturday afternoon.
The derailment’s cause is still under investigation.
