Old City Cemetery Requests Temporary Removal of Grave Decorations During Clean-Up Week

Old City Cemetery (OCC) will observe Clean-Up Week from April 1–7 as part of ongoing maintenance and preservation efforts. During this time, families and visitors are respectfully asked to temporarily remove personal decorative items from gravesites and the Scatter Gardens.
This effort, conducted in accordance with established cemetery policies and procedures, allows staff to perform necessary grounds maintenance and ensure the long-term care and dignity of the cemetery. The request is especially important in areas such as Potter’s Field, where regular upkeep is essential.
Items may be returned following the conclusion of Clean-Up Week.
