Comedy Central’s The Daily Show is mostly back in action this week—save for one day off—with Jon Stewart and Desi Lydic sharing anchor duties.
Stewart kicks things off tonight with guest Cindy Cohn, executive director for Electronic Frontier Foundation, a nonprofit defending civil liberties in the digital world. Cohn is out promoting her memoir, Privacy’s Defender: My Thirty-Year Fight Against Digital Surveillance.
Senior correspondent Lydic takes over hosting duties Tuesday and Wednesday, ahead of The Daily Show being dark on Thursday/getting a jump on its Spring Break hiatus.
Comedian and filmmaker Julio Torres is Tuesday’s guest, where he’ll discuss his newly released HBO special Color Theories.
On Wednesday, Lydic is set to sit down with Dr. Mary Claire Haver, a board-certified OB/GYN and author who is making the rounds on behalf of her upcoming book, The New Perimenopause (out April 7).
This will mark Lydic’s third cycle behind the Daily Show news desk this season; her previous turn came five weeks ago. The 11-year Daily Show vet topped the show’s 2025 leaderboard among all of her fellow rotating correspondent-hosts, hosting the show 29 nights across the year. (Michael Kosta came in second at 25.)
Lydic was recently named winner of this year’s Grace Award for On-Air Talent (Entertainment), and will be feted May 19 at the awards show honoring women in media.
The Daily Show airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET/PT on Comedy Central, with episodes streaming the following day on Paramount+.
