Hilary Duff says psychic identified her over the phone after seeing a vision of late ex Aaron Carter

Hilary Duff is opening up about a psychic experience that involved her late ex Aaron Carter.
The Lizzie McGuire alum revealed that she was once identified by a medium whom she was speaking to anonymously over the phone after the “Sooner or Later” singer, who died in 2022, appeared in a vision during their conversation.
“I once talked to this psychic on the phone,” Duff said on a recent episode of Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’ Las Culturistas podcast. “And she doesn’t know who you are when you call and eventually she figured it out and she was like, ‘Are you… Hilary Duff?'”

Duff explained that it took her three weeks to track down this specific medium.
“She doesn’t let you pay. She’s like, ‘This is not my job. This has been a curse for me my whole life,'” Duff said. “Because she has the gift. Other people in her family have the gift. I guess when she was in school, she’d look at the teacher and be like, ‘You and your husband are gonna get a divorce.'”
Duff also noted that she remains in close contact with Carter’s twin sister Angel, adding, “Our kids go to the same school, she is a lovely literal angel person. We’re very close. We talk about Aaron often.”

And, as it turns out, the psychic picked up on his presence right away she spoke to the “Mature” singer. “She said, ‘Well, people are gonna start showing up for you. And there is someone here: Aaron,'” Duff recalled. “I was like, oh no, my heart. I was like, ‘Oh my God.'”
She continued, “I was like, ‘…Is it Aaron Carter?’ And she was like, ‘Sure is! What the hell is he doing here?’ And I was like, ‘Well that’s my childhood boyfriend and that would make sense to me.’ And she’s like, ‘Are you Hilary Duff?'”

Carter and Duff were on-and-off as young teens from 2000 until 2003. He also famously appeared in a 2001 episode of Lizzie McGuire, where the pair shared a kiss.
After going their separate ways, rumors of a love triangle involving Carter, Duff, and fellow Disney actress Lindsay Lohan circulated. Earlier this year, Duff confirmed that she purposefully crashed the 2003 premiere of Lohan’s Freaky Friday remake out of spite, but said they have since mended fences.
Duff paid tribute to Carter following his death, with an Instagram tribute that began “For Aaron- I’m deeply sorry that life was so hard for you and that you had to struggle in front of the whole world.”
She added, “You had a charm that was absolutely effervescent… boy did my teenage self love you deeply. Sending love to your family at this time. Rest easy.”
