Kylie Jenner Reveals She Cried Showing Daughter Stormi an Episode of “KUWTK” After the 8-Year-Old Asked Her Why She’s Famous

Kylie Jenner recently got emotional when watching back an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians and discussing fame with her daughter.

On the first episode of Kid Cudi’s podcast, Big Bro with Kid Cudi, the reality TV star, 28, recalled explaining to her daughter Stormi, 8, how she and all of her family became famous. Jenner, who shares Stormi and her son Aire, 4, with her ex Travis Scott, shared that she sat her daughter down and told her the origins of their fame.

“I sat her down, and I’m like, ‘We started a television show when I was a year older than you, and that’s why we’re all in this together,’ ” Jenner explained. “She was like, ‘Can I watch it?’ And I’m like, ‘Sure.’”

Kylie went on to explain that watching the show with her daughter made her more emotional than she thought it would. After fast-forwarding through some of the more inappropriate parts of the first episode, she said that they watched some of the cute scenes together.

“I was so emotional after. I don’t know what hit me, but I was weeping in my bed. I don’t know why that happened to me,” she said. “I was just like maybe it’s like my daughter being the same age as I was [or] just seeing my family and I’m just feeling so grateful for all that we’ve built, but also mourning that closeness when we were all kind of living under the same roof.”

She added, “It was very emotional. I didn’t know it was going to hit me like that.”

Elsewhere in the interview, she shared how her main focus now is staying grounded in her life.

“I have my family; I have my kids that I go home to that love me so much and have no idea what’s going on in this world,” she said. “They definitely keep me grounded.”

She went on to share how that perspective of staying grounded also shapes how she thinks about her children, especially as the new generation grows up more connected to the online world.

“When Stormi turns 15, I don’t know how I’m going to handle it,” Jenner admitted. “We don’t know how [fame] is going to affect them, and it’s really scary.”

Jenner’s daughter is already gearing up to follow in her mom’s footsteps. The Kylie Cosmetics founder was joined by her daughter Stormi for a special TikTok back in July — the mother-daughter duo’s first official “Get Ready with Me” video together. In the adorable clip, Jenner and her daughter applied their skincare and makeup together, as Stormi talked about her family’s time in Greece.

The pair used products from Jenner’s makeup line as the model guided her daughter through a makeup routine.

“Our first GRWM together 🥹 we always make vids together for fun and i never post them but this was just tooooo cute” she captioned the adorable video.
