LEVERT, Robert

With sadness, the family of Robert Eugene Levert, 76 years, of Garson, announces his passing in the early evening of March 28, 2026, at his home surrounded by love. Robert will be remembered for his strong work ethic, high-energy and optimistic outlook. He was most happy spending time with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren of whom he was fiercely proud.

He loved the time he spent with Angele at the home they built on Manitoulin Island, on their trips to Naples, Florida and other travel destinations and most recently at their home in Garson. He enjoyed golfing, playing crib, fishing, cleaning and polishing his cars as well as planning and completing personal projects of which there were many. Robert was a proud member of the Nipissing Rotary for many years and spent countless hours fundraising and volunteering for a variety of charities.

Robert dedicated his professional life to the Levert family businesses, serving as Vice President from 1971 to well through the 1980s. His career later led him to Allaire Mechanical Contractors, a commercial construction company in North Bay, where he served as a principal with commitment and pride until his retirement.

Robert will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife Angele and children Bobbi-Lynn Piccolo, Bryan Levert, Berri-Lynn Levert and stepdaughter, Ginette Richer (Dave Couillard).

Pepere/Grandpa will be missed by his grandchildren, Ashley (Joshua) Reid, Kristin (Nathan) Phillips, Cody Couillard, Anthony Piccolo (Shrae Banning), Alyssa Piccolo, Christena Piccolo, Jenna-Lynn Levert, Parker Levert, Hudson Binch and Lennox Binch as well as his great grandchildren Ruby Reid and Finley Phillips.

Robert will be missed by his siblings, Claudette Levert, Diane Deguire (late Leo) and Richard Levert (Jackie Lamothe) and his extended family, Annette St. George (Robert Desjardins), Aline (Maurice) Rousselle, Leo Audette (Gail Somers), and JP Audette (Cheryl Laidlaw). He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and friends.

Robert was predeceased by his parents, Wilfred and Aldoria Levert, his brother, Roger Levert, his stepson, Raymond Richer, in-laws Roger Audette, Robert Audette and Leo St. Georges.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 4th, 2026.

There will be a private gathering at 1pm. Friends and community will be greeted from 2pm until 5pm at Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E., Sudbury, ON.
