Final Injury Report for Timberwolves-Pistons: Will Anthony Edwards, Marcus Sasser Play?

The Minnesota Timberwolves are on the road on Thursday night as they travel to take on the Detroit Pistons in an interconference showdown.

Minnesota enters Thursday’s game with a 46-29 record after defeating the Dallas Mavericks on the road on Monday night.

In Monday’s victory over the Timberwolves, Julius Randle led the way for the Timberwolves as he recorded 24 points, three rebounds and four assists while Ayo Dosunmu added 18 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists of his own.

Now Minnesota will try to grab another victory on Thursday as they face off against the Pistons in a tough road matchup.

On the other side, Detroit enters Thursday’s contest with a 55-21 record after defeating the Toronto Raptors at home on Tuesday night.

Jalen Duren led the way for the Pistons in Tuesday’s victory as he ended the game with 31 points, nine rebounds and three assists while Deniss Jenkins recorded 21 points, five rebounds and five assists.

While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Thursday night’s matchup, both squads may be without multiple key players due to injuries.

For the Timberwolves, they have two players listed on their injury report, including both Anthony Edwards and Jaden McDaniels.

Minnesota has ruled out Edwards due to right knee patellofemoral pain syndrome and an illness as he will miss the first game of their back-to-back.

With Edwards sidelined, Mike Conley, Bones Hyland and Terrence Shannon Jr. could all be in line for increased roles.

The Timberwolves have ruled out McDaniels due to left knee patella tendinopathy as he will miss his third straight game.

With McDaniels sidelined once again, Dosunmu and Kyle Anderson could both continue to have larger roles.

Pistons Injury Report: Will Marcus Sasser Play?

On the other side, the Pistons also have three players listed on their injury report, including guard Marcus Sasser.

Detroit has listed Sasser as questionable due to a right hip strain and he is in danger of missing his first game since March 25.

If Sasser is sidelined, Jenkins and Caris LeVert could both be in line for increased roles against the Timberwolves.

The Pistons have ruled out Cade Cunningham as he continues to recover from a collapsed lung while Isaiah Stewart remains sidelined while recovering from a left calf strain.
