Paige DeSorbo and Hannah Berner have given their full support to Ciara Miller following the drama around the stars of Summer House.
The comedic duo took to their Giggly Squad podcast to express their support for their former Bravo reality series co-star following the news that broke earlier this week. For those not in the know with the Bravoverse happenings, Miller’s ex, West Wilson, and friend Amanda Batula announced they had feelings for each other.
Earlier this year, Batula announced she was separating from her Summer House co-star husband, Kyle Cooke, following marital woes that have been showcased on the reality TV series.
Summer House has always promoted sisterhood among the “bedbugs,” who were DeSorbo, Berner, Miller, and Batula.
“Obviously, we’re live. We see the internet, we know what’s going on,” DeSorbo said on the April 3rd episode of Giggly Squad. “Ciara is our real friend, in real life. So we have been talking to her, consoling her. We are behind her 100%. We would never capitalize or monetize off of our friend’s heartbreak.”
Berner added, “We love you Ciara, as the one and only guest that’s ever been on Giggly Squad.”
DeSorbo noted that “Ciara is a strong, intelligent, capable woman. She will speak her truth when it is her time. I would never speak for her.”
Berner reminded the listeners that Giggly Squad was created for them to have a venue to express themselves honestly, as on reality TV, a lot gets left “on the cutting room floor and they weren’t showing the things that they should show. The standup comic recalled that producers had the intention of her and Ciara “beefing” when the latter joined the series as they both had a love interest in common. However, when Berner found out Miller was a person who loved cats, they put their friendship above all else.
“We really do know the importance of female friendships,” DeSorbo said. “When I was going through a breakup, I think I called Hannah one day, and I was just like, ‘Thanks for letting me talk about this same situation for the past seven months and going over it again with me.’ We are real friends.”
The Summer House Season 10 reunion is expected to film in mid-April, and as of now, it is not known who will attend or which cast members will skip out.
