Louisville restaurant owner files for bankruptcy months after closures

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — The former owner behind two popular Louisville restaurants that abruptly shut down last year is now filing for bankruptcy.

According to our partners at Louisville Business First, Foxdulaney LLC — an entity tied to restaurateur Isaac Fox — filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy this week.

The filing lists between $100,000 and $500,000 in liabilities, with little indication creditors will recover what they’re owed.

The move follows the sudden closures of La Chasse on Bardstown Road and The Champagnery in Clifton — two once-busy spots that went dark in 2025.

La Chasse was a staple for nearly a decade before closing without warning, while The Champagnery shut down less than a year after Fox took over.

At the time, Fox cited severe financial and business struggles.

Now, months later, court records show those challenges have escalated to liquidation.

LBF reported the space that once housed La Chasse was already replaced by a new restaurant concept.
