3 castaways were sent home last night. What happened on ‘Survivor’

Jenna Lewis-Dougherty says this is the way to get on ‘Survivor’

Watch “Survivor” contestant Jenna Lewis-Dougherty encourage fans to apply for the show.

This week, the castaways were merged into the largest tribe in the show’s history, the Manulevu tribe, however they were soon thinned out after a surprise triple-elimination ahead of the immunity-reward challenge.

The sixth episode of “Survivor” season 50 introduced a new twist (per the fans) called “Blood Moon” which meant three people were going to be voted off — first twist of its kind in the show’s history. The Manulevu tribe was split into three groups of five, and each castaway had to balance on increasingly smaller footholds between walls. Christian Hubicki, Dee Valladares and Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick held their position the longest among their groups so they won immunity.

Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick stayed in her position the longest among the entire tribe, so she won reward for her group — a three-course Applebee’s meal.

The three groups were sent to old campsites to prepare for tribal council. In the end, long-time player Colby Donaldson; season 48 player Kamilla Karthigesu; and season 47 player Genevieve Mushaluk were sent home.

Each player voted out last night, April 1, won’t be a jury member. The jury begins to form in episode 7.

Earlier in the episode, there was a smaller twist. The Manulevu tribe was tasked to fine a hidden twist in the jungle. Long-time player, Ozzy Lusth found a scroll which sent him to exile island with a tribe member of his choosing. Lusth brought season 49 player, Rizo Velovic to become better acquainted. Both players were exempt from the “Blood Moon,” twist at the immunity-reward challenge.

Three “Billie Eilish boomerang idols” remain active in the hands of Rizo Velovic, Ozzy Lusth and Aubry Bracco. In addition, longtime player Cirie Fields has an extra vote.

According to the teaser, tension grows after everyone reunites. Long-time player, Benjamin “Coach” Wade and season 42 player Jonathan Young appear to be involved in the drama.

Here’s more on “Survivor” episode 6 season 50 and how to tune in next week.

Who was voted off ‘Survivor’ last night?

Episode 6 of “Survivor” season 50 was a triple-elimination due to a new fan-motivated twist called “Blood Moon.” Long-time player Colby Donaldson; season 48 player Kamilla Karthigesu; and season 47 player Genevieve Mushaluk were voted off.

Karthigesu was in a group with Jonathan Young, season 46 player Tiffany Ervin, season 35 player Chrissy Hofbeck and Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick. Karthigesu and Hofbeck were on the chopping block, though Hofbeck convinced Young to vote off his ally Karthigesu it would be better his game. Karthigesu ended up being blindsided.

Mushaluk was in a group with season 37 player Christian Hubicki, season 38 player Rick Devens, season 47 player Joe Hunter and long-time player Aubry Bracco. Mushaluk knew she was the main target. She played her “shot in the dark” advantage though it did not save her.

Donaldson was in a group with Cirie Fields, “Coach,” season 45 winner Dee Valladares and season 45 player Emily Flippen. Donaldson knew he was at risk because of his foot injury from a previous episode, and he was voted off.
