A cold front will bring heavy rain to the area on Easter.Rain chances increase this weekend. Scattered storms arrive Saturday with heavy downpours possible. This is more of a summertime pattern. Showers and storms should pass quickly, so I would not cancel any outdoor plans! A few of the storms could turn strong with lightning and gusty winds. A cold front arrives early on Easter Sunday. For any Easter plans, I would have the umbrella ready. Rain is expected to be heavy at times with a few thunderstorms possible. The good news is that the severe threat overall looks low.
