Kitchener man dies after collision between pickup truck and e-bike

A 44-year-old Kitchener man is dead after police say a pickup truck and an e-bike collided Friday night.

Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Lancaster Street and Guelph Street at about 9:45 p.m. Friday for reports of a collision. The intersection is controlled by stoplights.

The driver of the e-bike, the 44-year-old man, was taken to hospital where police say he died from his injuries.

The driver of the pickup truck was a 38-year-old man from Kitchener, police said. He was not physically injured.
