We are blessed to have such great management – Jitesh Sharma

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru are on a three-match winning streak against Chennai Super Kings. A streak that started in 2024, when they pipped CSK in their last group stage fixture to qualify for the play-offs, continues. In the last iteration of the tournament, RCB hammered CSK twice, rattling them once in Chepauk followed by another fine win at home.
As RCB take the field again against CSK, one of the most obvious questions is whether the winning streak plays mind-games for RCB? Well, their vice-captain, Jitesh Sharma had a solid answer for that. He also opened up on how RCB maintained their intensity during what was almost a week-long break between two games.
Shedding light on the pressure of the winning streak, Jitesh said in the pre-match press-conference, “After coming here, I came to know about the 3-0 equation. As a player, as a unit, we always focus on one game at a time rather than thinking about the records. We are just trying to be present and plan what our strengths are and what are their weaknesses.”
Talking about the intensity management by the rest of the team, Jitesh said, “We are blessed to have such a great management, they have kept everyone on the toes. Even in this break we played a practice game, so we are very close to that match intensity. We are training at a high intensity and it doesn’t feel like we had a long break.”
