Game 10 Preview: Tigers open 4-game road series at Twins

The Detroit Tigers were unable to complete the sweep of the St. Louis Cardinals at home on Sunday night, falling 5-3 to end their first homestand of the 2026 campaign. Now, the Motor City Kitties go back on the road for a four-game series at the Minnesota Twins starting on Monday.
After nine games played — well, 10 in the case of the Cleveland Guardians — the American League Central picture is as clear as a muddied lake, with the aforementioned Guards atop the standings with a 6-4 record so far. Three teams — the Tigers, Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals — are packed in the middle at 4-5, while the Twins are in the cellar early on at 3-6.
Right-hander Casey Mize will climb the hill for Detroit on Monday night while fellow righty Joe Ryan toes the rubber for Minnesota. Here is a look at how they match up.
