A man stole a pickup truck from a Baton Rouge gas station Wednesday morning with a 1-year-old child in the back seat, prompting officials to issue an Amber Alert.
The suspect is believed to be armed, Louisiana State Police said.
The missing child is Ian Castellanos, a Hispanic boy with black curly hair and brown eyes. The child is wearing a brown sweater and khaki pajama pants.
The suspect’s vehicle is a gray 2013 Toyota Tundra with the Louisiana license plate number C372710.
The suspect is an unidentified black male wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and brown boots, authorities said.
The suspect took the pickup about 7 a.m. at a gas station at 4650 Airline Highway in Baton Rouge, state police said.
Authorities urge anyone who spots the car or suspect to call 911.
