‘XO, Kitty’ actress Lana Condor is doing this for her libido

‘XO, Kitty’ stars are invested in the show’s love triangles
“XO, Kitty” stars Sang Heon Lee, Gia Kim and Regan Aliyah reveal their favorite love triangles from the Netflix show.
Lana Condor joins our video call fresh off a blur of travel and jet lag. She’s just wrapped a press tour for her latest movie, “Pretty Lethal,” and is anxiously awaiting the release of Netflix’s “XO, Kitty” Season 3, in which she reprises her beloved role as Lara Jean from “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.”
She’s tired, too, she admits, but still game to talk about something many women would rather not with a stranger: libido.
Condor always thought libido was all about sex. But now, as she approaches her 30th birthday, she’s rethinking what desire looks like – not just in the bedroom, but in how she moves about her days.
“I always thought that libido was only and exclusively, directly tied to sexy time and your sexual wellness,” she says. “I didn’t realize that libido is also deeply tied to your overall vitality and energy levels.”
Condor says she’s feeling the bodily and hormonal changes that come with age. Her brain takes an extra moment to wake up in the morning. It takes longer to get out of bed, and morning stretches are required to quell any aches and pains.
“I’m in a transitional period of my life,” she shares. “I still have youth on my side, but I’ve definitely seen (my energy) decline as I get older.”
Her morning rituals have become “non-negotiables,” including taking a daily women’s libido boost supplement – which includes three herbal extracts designed to enhance sexual desire, satisfaction and intimate vitality. These supplements aren’t FDA-regulated, and individuals should discuss their treatment and vitamin regimens with a trusted physician. That said, Condor’s bubbliness radiates through the screen.
In a sensual ad campaign for the health brand Thorne, Condor, who married husband Anthony De La Torre in 2024, recounts an intimate encounter via audio message, saying, “It was really good… I wasn’t stuck in my head at all. I didn’t realize how much I’d been holding in. Like, I had this rush all through my body. We were just in it.”
For Condor, a libido boost means more time in her body and less time overthinking. She’s been open about her struggles with body dysmorphia throughout her career, which plays a role in her sexual health.
The third season of “XO, Kitty” was set to release two days after our conversation, and Condor was gearing up for fans to witness her return to the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” universe as Lara Jean after five years.
“I’m really nervous,” she admits. “I’m a little in my head. I just hope people are happy to see Lara Jean again.”
Already in the news cycle for “XO, Kitty,” speaking out for this campaign also requires putting her physical health and desire “in the spotlight,” she says, but it’s served as a testament for how far she’s come.
‘It’s been a healing experience’
Condor studied dance in high school, which required constant examination of her physical appearance and performance. In a 2021 interview with People, she shared that she only realized she had struggled with body dysmorphia in her 20s.
When Condor was first approached for this campaign, she realized it was an opportunity to proudly talk about her body, and film a campaign about self-confidence. Being able to film the video assets and take part in these conversations shows her “just how much growth I’ve had in that area of my life.”
“That’s an accomplishment, that I was brave enough to even do this in general. It’s actually been a bit of a healing experience,” she says. “I work on this every day, so it’s not like one campaign is the catalyst of healing, but it’s definitely helped me and given me an opportunity to feel proud of myself for how far I’ve come, because it’s not been easy at all.”
Her message isn’t just about sex. She wants to encourage women to take care of themselves, listen to their bodies and do their own rituals that inspire confidence in their own skin.
