Khaby Lame’s alleged settlement with his ex-wife, Wendy Thembelihle Juel, is going viral on social media. Several pages claimed that Wendy reportedly did not know that the internet personality’s assets are seemingly registered under his father’s name.

Due to this reason, the Danish-South African model allegedly had no right to demand half of his assets. The viral posts also claimed that Wendy’s own assets, supposedly worth $10 million, would reportedly be split among the two.

It seems TikToker Khaby Lame also attended the Hakimi School of Divorce Strategy.

It is worth noting that Khaby Lame, whose real name is Khabane Serigne Lame, sold his business and AI likeness to Hong Kong-based financial firm Rich Sparkle Holdings in Jan. 2026. The deal was worth $975 million.

The rumored divorce story went massively viral, with netizens praising the TikToker for seemingly securing his assets. However, the story about the $10 million settlement from Wendy Thembelihle Juel’s assets and her inability to take half of Khaby’s assets is false.

According to several reports, the two got married in a traditional ceremony in Senegal in Nov. 2023, and they separated in June. 2024. At the time, the settlement was not revealed to the public.

The next month, Khaby Lame’s manager, Nicola Paparusso, told Vanity Fair that the reason behind the couple’s separation was “unexpected and irreconcilable character incompatibility.” Nicola also stated that they did not need to get a civil procedure for their divorce as the ceremony in Senegal was a “Muslim religious rite.”

“The separation doesn’t require a civil procedure, because the marriage was celebrated exclusively with a Muslim religious rite,” the influencer’s manager said.

More details on Khaby Lame and his $975 million deal

Khabane Serigne Lame is a Senegalese-born Italian who started making TikTok videos in 2020. According to reports, Khaby lost his job as a factory worker due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the time, he lived in Turin, Italy.

Lame started making comedic videos and went massively viral on the platform. Currently, he has over 160 million followers on TikTok and more than 77 million followers on Instagram.

Earlier this year, he sold his company, Step Distinctive Limited, to Rich Sparkle Holdings. The deal allows the Hong Kong-based firm to use Khaby’s face, voice, and behavioral models to create an AI version of him.

The AI model would be used for advertising and promotions, and companies would be able to hire Khaby Lame to promote their products. Rich Sparkle Holdings stated in a filing that the TikToker’s AI version would also be used in livestream ecommerce.

It is expected to raise more than $4 billion in annual sales. It is worth noting that the content creator is the controlling shareholder of the $975 million deal. Rich Sparkle Holdings will focus on the US, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia in the initial stage.

On the other hand, neither Khaby Lame nor Wendy Thembelihle Juel has responded to the viral divorce settlement rumor. Stay tuned for more updates on Khaby Lame as well as other viral news.
