Collin Chandler is on the move.
After two seasons playing for Mark Pope at Kentucky, Chandler has entered the transfer portal, according to multiple reports Wednesday.
Additionally, Chandler entered the portal with a “do not contact” designation, meaning he could have his next destination in mind already.

Chandler, a Utah native and graduate of Farmington High, originally signed with BYU in November of 2021 before serving a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
However, once Pope was hired as Kentucky’s new head coach in 2024, Chandler was immediately released from his letter of intent with the Cougars and followed Pope to Lexington.
Chandler appeared in 66 games for the Wildcats over the past two seasons, averaging 9.7 points per game as a sophomore this year and shooting 41% from 3-point range.
Upon his signing with BYU back in 2021, Chandler was rated as a 4-star recruit, the No. 6 combo guard prospect in his class and No. 33 recruit nationally by 247 Sports. He also earned Deseret News Mr. Basketball honors in 2022.
Given Chandler’s local ties, BYU’s current need for shooting help and Rob Wright III’s departure from the program, perhaps the Cougars could make a push for Chandler’s services and allow him to make his long-awaited arrival in Provo.
