How to Buy the New £220 Casio G-Shock x Pokémon Watch in the UK

In Japan, the brand new Casio G-Shock x Pokémon watch, the first full-sized G-Shock in collaboration with the beloved video game franchise, is only going to be available via a lottery – it won’t be easy to get your hands on. Fortunately, the situation isn’t quite the same in the UK.

While it’ll cost ¥33,000 (£150) there, if you’re successful, it’ll be a little more expensive in the UK at £220, but only because you don’t have to try your luck. Though only one can be purchased with each Casio account, the UK website doesn’t explicitly state that the model is limited to a certain number; you might need to be quick if you want to get your hands on one when they drop next month, but it’s less of a gamble (pardon the pun).

Aside from the design touches paying tribute to the franchise, such as the red, blue and green colours recalling the colours of the first games in the series and the resin band featuring 30 Pokémon printed onto it, we now have more information about its inner workings, and this G-Shock does not disappoint.

It comes in a typically large 51.2mm case, with shock resistance and 200 metres of water resistance, support for world time across 29 times zones, a 1/1000th-second stopwatch, and more. Just because it’s a design-first collaboration, that doesn’t mean it sacrifices any of the classic G-Shock functionality.

The watch will be made available through Casio’s UK website in July for £220.
