GRESHAM, Ore. (KATU) — Two 14-year-olds were arrested and charged with attempted murder on Wednesday as suspects in a shooting in Gresham on Saturday that left another teen in the hospital with critical injuries.
Gresham Police said its detectives and the East Metro SWAT team served search warrants at two Gresham homes. They took two 14-year-olds into custody.
The teens were referred to juvenile court on attempted murder, first-degree assault, and unlawful use of a weapon charges.
Police already had another suspect, Cruz Otzoy Aguilar, 19, in custody on a first-degree attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder in the second degree, assault in the first degree, and unlawful use of a weapon.
The shooting happened at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday near Northeast 188th Avenue and Burnside Street.

The victim, a 17-year-old, was rushed to the hospital with critical injuries and remained hospitalized as of Wednesday afternoon.
Gresham Police searched the area with a drone and found Aguilar nearby. He was taken into custody as a suspect.
