‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ Trailer Promises Many Kills, Actually

The Punisher doesn’t do anything halfway—and as the first trailer for Marvel TV special The Punisher: One Last Kill suggests, the Jon Bernthal character is prepared to dodge punches, bullets, threats, fire, and falling off rooftops (probably more) in his quest for vengeance.

Dropping a week after the conclusion of Daredevil: Born Again‘s second season, One Last Kill was directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and co-written by Green and Bernthal. Bernthal has been playing the violence-prone Marvel character, real name Frank Castle, since the 2016 second season of Daredevil on Netflix; he then got two seasons of his own show on the streamer before all the Marvel TV properties shifted to Disney+.

More recently, Frank’s been a part of both Daredevil: Born Again seasons, and he’ll make his big-screen MCU debut in this summer’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Not much is known about the plot of One Last Kill, but the trailer certainly suggests the Punisher will be doing what he does best, with all the angst and emotional torture that accompanies it. As you can see from the clip, Jason R. Moore will also be reprising his Punisher role as Frank’s buddy Curtis Hoyle, though he might just be playing a memory or hallucination of the character, considering the state of Frank’s mind throughout.

The Punisher: One Last Kill arrives May 12 on Disney+.
