Alix Earle Says She ‘Doesn’t Want to Go on Dates Anymore’ After Bizarre First Date Experience

Alix Earle is getting real about a recent first date experience.

On Wednesday, April 8, the social media It-girl took to her TikTok to recap her first date experience, which comes just four months after the influencer, 25, split from her boyfriend, Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios.

On Monday, April 6, the content creator shared that she was “not sure how to feel” about getting out on a first date so soon after her split from Berrios. The man she was seeing initially slid into her DMs, she explained to followers, and he used a line about skincare (Earle recently launched her own skincare brand, Reale Actives), which naturally caught her attention.

“I just want to preface by saying he was really nice, really sweet,” Earle said, as she took off her makeup in a video titled “My Date Recap.”

Earle made sure her followers knew she wasn’t trying to “bash” the mystery man before launching into a summary of the date. In her previous April 6 TikTok, Earle had said that they had planned to take a drive down to Malibu, walk on the beach and grab some food. She even said that she had the perfect pair of sandal heels for the occasion.

The mystery suitor picked Earle up at 3 p.m. with a dinner reservation made for 7:30 p.m., which Earle expressed her reservations about.

“I was saying I had to be home at, like, 6:30, 7 p.m. latest,” she said. “I feel like it’s a fair amount of time to, like, assume you’re gonna be out on a date. I was like, I had other things to do that night.”

The pair then went to Starbucks, as Earle explained her date seemed hungry. The pair continued their drive around town, stopping on a beach in Malibu at one point.

“We’re driving down the PCH and I was like, this feels like we’re getting far away,” Earle said. “So I was like, where are you going? He was like, ‘I don’t have a plan.'”

It was then that Earle started to get a little worried: “My mind goes to, ‘Oh, my god, I’m being kidnapped.'”

Earle also noted that the conversation seemed not to flow as easily as she would have liked. However, the cherry on top of the whole experience, Earle said, was when her date asked her if she did OnlyFans.

“No hate, no shade to anyone that does,” Earle said. “But I just told you what I did for the past three hours. And I’m assuming you must have looked me up before we went on this date cause you DM’d me, so I don’t know.”

Earle also explained that she had done some light research into her date, and she found it strange that her date kept dodging questions about himself that she already knew the answer to.

“When he said the OnlyFans thing, I was like, ‘I don’t want to go on dates anymore,'” the influencer laughed as she continued doing her skincare.

“There was a point during this date where, I swear to God, I turned green and almost passed out because I seriously thought I was getting kidnapped,” she added. “So, between all of that. I’m not doing that again. If you’re taking me out, you’re sending me a full itinerary, start to finish.”

In December, PEOPLE confirmed that Earle and Berrios were going their separate ways after over two years together. She later shared in a tearful TikTok that they had made the decision to split because she couldn’t “be what Braxton needs” as Berrios juggled his demanding NFL schedule and she taped the 34th season of Dancing with the Stars.

She reunited with Berrios for the first time since their breakup at the Palm Tree Music Festival in Aspen, Colo., in February — and though she said the two spoke “briefly,” Earle acknowledged that it was “terrible” to accept that he had gone from being her “best friend to being a stranger in the corner of the room.”

After her split from Berrios, Earle was also temporarily linked with retired NFL quarterback Tom Brady, 48, after the pair were first spotted hanging out at the same New Year’s Eve party in St. Barths and then publicly reunited at a party in San Francisco during Super Bowl weekend.

Though reps for Earle and Brady never commented on the relationship, a source told PEOPLE in February that the duo was “hooking up.”
