ARC Raiders Guide: How to Complete Settled in Full Quest

The Settled in Full quest arrives with the ARC Raiders Flashpoint update, handed out by Tian Wen, the gun expert stationed in Speranza. The objective sounds simple on paper: kill a Bastion and bring back its cell. The execution is another matter. Bastions are four-legged ARC minibosses that hit hard and take a lot of punishment before they go down. Get the right loadout, know the weak spots, and this quest becomes very manageable.

What are the Settled in Full quest objectives?

There are exactly two things you need to do to finish this quest:

  • Destroy a Bastion on any topside map
  • Deliver a Bastion Cell to Tian Wen back in Speranza

Neither step is skippable. You cannot buy a Bastion Cell or find one lying around. You have to earn it by taking the Bastion apart yourself.

Bastion spawns on topside maps

Where to find a Bastion

Bastions spawn on topside maps and can appear in several locations, but Spaceport is the most reliable hunting ground. Head toward the Departure Building or Container Storage areas once you drop in. Both locations see regular Bastion activity.

The fastest method, according to sources across the community, is to queue into a round where the Matriarch map event is active. The Matriarch always brings a Bastion escort, along with a Bombardier, a Rocketeer, and a Leaper. The upside here is that other players in the same session will often pitch in against the Matriarch’s entourage, making the Bastion fight more manageable. The downside is competition for the loot, so move fast once it drops.

If you want a cleaner solo attempt, skip the Matriarch event and search Container Storage at Spaceport directly. You trade the extra help for guaranteed first access to the Bastion Cell.

How to defeat a Bastion

The Bastion moves slowly but deals massive damage at close range. Fighting it in the open without cover is a fast way to lose the run. Find a position with something solid between you and the robot before you start shooting.

What loadout should you bring?

Heavy ammo weapons are the go-to for this fight. The Anvil, Ferro, and Renegade all perform well, with Tier IV versions preferred if you have them. Bring enough ammunition to sustain a prolonged engagement.

If you have access to legendary weapons, Aphelion or Jupiter will shorten the fight considerably. Hullcracker is a solid choice if you do not have legendaries yet.

What are the Bastion’s weak spots?

Two spots matter most:

  • Yellow leg joints (kneecaps): Shoot one of these until it breaks. This paralyzes the Bastion briefly, giving you a window to reposition or land explosive damage.
  • Yellow canister at the rear: This is the primary damage target. Sustained fire here will eventually expose the core.

The standard loop runs like this:

  1. Break a leg joint to stun the Bastion
  2. Close distance and throw Trailblazers, or attach a Deadline to the body
  3. If you have no explosives, use the stun window to unload into the rear canister
  4. Repeat until the core is exposed, then destroy the core
warning

Do not rush into melee range without first breaking a leg joint. The Bastion’s close-range attacks during an active state will shred your shield before you can react.

How to deliver the Bastion Cell

Once the Bastion is down, loot both its legs and body. The Bastion Cell will be among the drops, along with possible extras like ARC Alloy, ARC Powercell, ARC Motion Core, and medium ammo. The cell itself is the only item required for the quest.

Here is the part that trips players up: immediately move the Bastion Cell to your Safe Pocket. If you die during extraction without doing this, you lose the cell and have to kill another Bastion.

Extract safely, return to Speranza, and speak with Tian Wen to hand over the cell and close out the quest.

danger

The Bastion Cell does not stack with other quest items in your inventory. Confirm it is sitting in your Safe Pocket before you head to extraction, not just in your regular kit.

What are the rewards for Settled in Full?

Completing the quest earns you 30 Raider Tokens. These are the premium currency in ARC Raiders, used to purchase cosmetics from the in-game store including outfit bundles, Scrappy items, and Raider tools. They cannot be used for gear upgrades or ammo, so the reward is purely cosmetic, but 30 tokens from a single quest is a reasonable payout for the effort involved.
