Great news for all you Sephora heads: The retailer’s Savings Event has arrived. It’s time to save some money on your regular restocks (moisturizer, concealer, lip balm, etc.) and new-to-you things you’re curious about, like Make Up For Ever’s sparkly lip liners or the rereleased Makeup by Mario Ethereal Eyes Palette.
The sale starts today, April 10, for Rouge members, who get 20 percent off. On April 14, it opens up for VIB members, who get a 15 percent discount, and Beauty Insiders, who can get 10 percent off their purchase. (If you’re not already a Beauty Insider, it’s free to sign up.) Throughout the entire sale, everyone also has access to 30 percent off Sephora Collection — a great chance to grab some Sephora Pro brushes, which are 100 percent worth the money. Just enter the code SPRINGSALE at checkout to apply the discount — and you can use the code for as many purchases as you want.

“I’m a sucker for a cool-toned brown eye shadow and, even though I already have some, I’ve been feeling the itch to try something new. Armani liquid eye shadows have always been fantastic — the formula allows for plenty of time to blend before setting and staying put until you remove it. So why not try Tobacco, the shade in the range that calls to me like a siren?” —Carol Lee, beauty writer

“Every time I try a Kulfi product, I kick myself for not buying it sooner. For example, the brand’s mascara is my favorite mascara of all time, and the new lip-stain-liner hybrid has entered my regular rotation. Somehow, I still haven’t tried the cream eye shadow, which has rave reviews on Sephora, TikTok, and YouTube. It’s time.” —C.L.

“I’ve been dreaming of rubbing this ultrasparkly highlighter all over my eyelids and décolleté for years, and I think I’m going to finally pick it up during the sale. The glitter may not be for everyone, but if you like shiny things, I’d recommend at least swatching it. And if you decide that you need a luminizer for your cheekbones that’s a little more refined, Fenty’s Killawatt highlighter is another worthy contender.” —C.L.

“I’m at Coachella this year, and you bet I packed the Patrick Ta Major Glow Balm (and the brush for it). If I’m going to be out in the desert all day, I want to glow — and that’s exactly what this product accomplishes. The non-sticky formula makes your skin look wet in a sexy, femme-fatale-stepping-out-of-a-pool sort of way.” —C.L.

“The last time I looked through the r/Sephora sub-Reddit, I saw multiple posts of people recommending, raving about, or showing off their purchase of this balmy product from Makeup by Mario. The cream bronzer is supposed to provide a little coverage, add some color, and sculpt the face all at the same time, and I’m intrigued by how hard people ride for this product on Reddit, my favorite form of social media. Many fans of the product also claim that they’ve repurchased it multiple times, so it must be good.” —C.L.

“Westman Atelier’s bronzer stick has always been a star, but the shade extension the brand launched earlier this year caused another viral moment. The shade Toast in particular got a lot of attention. Described as a “neutral pecan,” it has a rosy undertone, which makes it a perfect “blonzer” — a mix between a blush and a bronzer. If you don’t always want to wear blush but want more definition and a little color on your cheeks, I highly recommend it.” —C.L.

“Now is the time to restock on staples, and that includes Make Up For Ever’s Artist Color Pencils. The brand also launched shimmery versions that have found a home in my purse. The subtle sparkle sparks (sorry) joy whenever I apply the liners on my lips. Anyone who loves brown lip looks, please try a combo of Cosmic Anywhere Caffeine and Cosmic Limitless Brown. You can thank me later.” —C.L.

“I love this formula, and I’m really into the new pink shades. I normally don’t like pink on me, because sometimes it doesn’t look right on darker skin. But these pinks are done really well. I also normally don’t like sparkly lip glosses, but this one is so subtle.” —Asia Milia Ware, beauty editor

“The Prada concealer is one of my favorites at the moment, so I’m excited to see if I love this blush just as much. It’s a cream-to-powder formula, so it should melt into the skin and leave a blurred finish.” —Chinea Rodriguez, shopping writer.

“Most of my setting sprays sit on my vanity gathering dust. However, when I do feel like using a setting spray, whether it’s because my skin feels dry or I have an extra-long day ahead of me, I’ve been reaching for the one from Saie. I like that it keeps things in place longer while also not feeling (or smelling) like hairspray on my face. Also, my skin doesn’t feel tight after I apply the spray, which is a huge plus.” —C.L.

“I use this serum every single day (when I have it on hand). Over time, I’ve watched it soothe my redness, help even out my skin tone, and add an extra dose of much-needed hydration during this year’s harsh winter. It doesn’t provide dramatic results, but consistent use helps the product truly shine.” —C.L.

“Sofie Pavitt’s skin-care products have done wonders for me. I apply her mandelic-acid serum every day to ward off texture, and I’m ready to try her latest launch. How fortuitous that it launched in time for the Sephora sale? The aesthetician created the gel moisturizer as a lightweight alternative to her heavier face cream for folks who prefer a lighter texture. But she also says that those with drier skin like me can layer the new product under another moisturizer as a hydrating serum.” —C.L.

“I love this serum when my skin gets out of control. It targets dark spots, dullness, and a damaged skin barrier with alpha arbutin and niacinamide. It’s also a nice moisturizing layer that doesn’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts. I’ve gone through at least 4 tubes of this.” —C.R.

“I went to South Korea for the first time las year and discovered these. I fell in love because it was the first time I used a retinol product that actually made my skin look radiant and didn’t dry me out. The brand came to the U.S. last month, and suddenly my skin is healed.” —A.M.W.

“I love Dior’s foaming cleanser, which has been my favorite face wash for the past few years. It recently launched this cleansing oil, which I love for removing makeup. I normally don’t like cleansing oils, but this one is so lightweight and doesn’t leave a film.” —A.M.W.

“Because there are so many excellent vitamin-C formulas already on the market, it’s hard to get excited about a new one. But InnBeauty Project’s Pro C Serum wowed me — it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin, has a non-oily texture that doesn’t pill under makeup, and doesn’t smell at all like hot-dog water (if you know, you know). That combination is surprisingly hard to find, so color me impressed.” —C.L.

“Dr. Groot, a K-beauty hair-care brand that I’ve loved for years, recently landed at Sephora. The entire line is focused on scalp health and encouraging hair growth, and while it’s not as popular here as it is in South Korea just yet, I think it’ll get there soon enough. My sister and I both use this shampoo because of how well it cleans our scalp. And just saying — Mark Townsend, the Olsen twins’ longtime hairstylist, says his clients love the line, too.” —C.L.

“As a musk-fragrance girl, I fell in love with Phlur’s Missing Person the first time I gave it a sniff. The scent is comforting and triggers memories of moments when I felt warm and loved. I’ve already gone through two bottles, so it’s time to invest in the bigger size.” —C.L.
