He voiced the Cowardly Lion in Wicked: For Good
Audiences heard a familiar voice when watching Wicked: For Good in theaters last year — Domingo voiced the Cowardly Lion.
In an October 16 interview with Deadline ahead of the film’s release, director John Chu disclosed that he had recruited a famous actor to make a cameo in Wicked: For Good — an actor who turned out to be Domingo.
“I was like, ‘It’s not a ton of lines, but maybe you have a little time. I know you’re busy. I’ll come to you,'” Chu revealed. “He was like, ‘Why the f–k not, let’s go!’ And then we went ahead and recorded the lines.”

Colman Domingo’s TV credits include Euphoria and three Law & Order series
Domingo is no stranger to the small screen, with roles dating back to the mid-1990s. From recurring appearances in Nash Bridges to appearing on Law & Order and spinoff series Law & Order: Trial By Jury and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
He worked regularly in Hollywood until breaking through into the mainstream on television as one of the leads of Fear the Walking Dead beginning in 2015. He appeared in the most episodes (109) out of anyone else in the cast over the series’s eight seasons.
Domingo also had a recurring role as Ali in the smash hit Euphoria, which earned him a 2022 Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series. His role as Tina Fey’s character’s best friend Danny in her series, The Four Seasons, earned him a second Emmy nomination in 2025.
Colman Domingo starred in a sketch series with Kate McKinnon
The 56-year-old also has ties to former Saturday Night Live cast member Kate McKinnon: They both starred in LOGO TV’s The Big Gay Sketch Show in the late 2000s.
McKinnon was a cast member in the series throughout its three-season run from 2007 to 2010, while Domingo joined the cast in Seasons 2 and 3.
