Sky acquire Rickea Jackson from Sparks, reportedly in exchange for Ariel Atkins

The Chicago Sky continued their offseason overhaul on Sunday, acquiring forward Rickea Jackson from the Los Angeles Sparks. L.A. will receive guard Ariel Atkins in a straight-up, one-for-one player deal, according to ESPN’s Alexa Philippou.
Jackson, 25, is going into her third WNBA season after the Sparks made her their 2024 first-round pick out of Tennessee. She has averaged 14 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists, also shooting 35% on 3-pointers.

Atkins goes to Los Angeles after one season with Chicago, during which she averaged 13.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.6 steals with 36% shooting on 3s. Her previous eight WNBA seasons were with the Washington Mystics, with whom she earned one first-team and four second-team All-Defensive Team honors and was named to two All-Star rosters.
