Woman, 82, seriously injured in multi-vehicle crash near Andover

A woman is in a life‑threatening condition in hospital following a multi-vehicle crash that saw a major road in Hampshire shut overnight.
A Vauxhall Mokka, a Ford Puma, a Ford Kuga and a Volvo collided on the westbound carriageway of the A303, between the junctions of Thruxton Circuit and Salisbury Road near Andover, at about 12:30 BST on Saturday.
The Vauxhall driver, an 82‑year‑old woman, sustained serious, potentially life‑threatening injuries, said police. Two other people were also injured.
The crash caused a “significant fuel and oil spillage, which resulted in damage to the road surface, which now requires resurfacing”, National Highways said. The westbound carriageway remains closed.
