Spoiler alert! This story includes details from Episodes 1-6 of HBO’s “DTF St. Louis.”
“It’s finally time to crack (the) case” of this twisted love triangle in the season finale of “DTF St. Louis”.
Clark (Jason Bateman) finally opened up about what went down between the trio, which included himself, his buddy and colleague Floyd (David Harbour) and Floyd’s wife, Carol (Linda Cardellini). However, his revelations added additional layers of complications rather than actually pointing towards who was responsible for Floyd’s death, leaving detectives Donoghue Homer (Richard Jenkins) and Jodie Plumb (Joy Sunday) even more confused.
HBO’s limited series is about a “love triangle between three adults experiencing middle-age malaise that leads to one of them ending up dead,” according to its synopsis.
Clark is a successful weatherman “struggling with the banality of middle age and a sparkless marriage,” while Floyd is “an ASL interpreter striving to be a good stepdad.” Things take a turn when Floyd is found dead at a community pool, three miles from his house, with a risqué magazine next to him, and it emerges that Clark had been having an affair with his best buddy’s wife.
